Relative volume on break candles
A break without standing out against recent volume is usually noise—not confirmation.
Compare the break candle’s volume to the median of the prior ten to twenty bars on the same timeframe. Confirmation asks for a clear lift, not a tiny bump.
If price leaves a range on average volume, we mark the event as tentative and wait for follow-through or a quieter retest.
Write the relative-volume note beside the break so later reviews stay honest about what you actually saw.
